a service request type configuration is a configuration defined by an organization to categorize and manage the types of services it offers to tenants this configuration allows the organization to outline what kinds of issues or requests tenants can raise, such as maintenance, cleaning, connectivity, or security concerns, based on the services they provide once configured, tenants can submit service requests by selecting the appropriate category these requests are then automatically routed to both the organization admin and the property manager (pm) assigned to the property in most cases, the pm is responsible for resolving the issue however, if no pm is assigned or if the issue falls outside the pm’s scope the organization itself can step in to resolve the request common examples service request types wifi connectivity problems housekeeping needs plumbing issues (e g , overflowing toilet) elevator malfunctions heating or lighting problems lock repairs general maintenance concerns by organizing service requests into specific types, this ensures better communication, speeds up problem resolution, and ensures better tenant satisfaction step 1 go to settings to add a new service request, go to settings step 2 open the configuration tab within the settings section select the configuration tab to proceed step 3 select service request type from the configuration options, click on service request type step 4 view or edit service requests after clicking on service request type, the service request type management page will open from this page, you can add a new service request type or edit an existing one as needed step 5 add new service request type to create a new request type click on add service type a form will appear with the following fields service name enter the name of the service (e g , "heating issues") description provide a short explanation of the service or issue step 6 save the new request type once the fields are filled out click save changes to finalize after clicking on save changes your request type will be added successfully step 7 confirmation now you can see that your service request has been successfully added to the service request type
