when a new tenant is added during the lease creation process, it is essential to ensure that their identity and contact details are verified to achieve this, an automated email trigger sends a one time password (otp) to the tenant’s registered email address this process not only ensures secure communication but also confirms the authenticity of the tenant’s email login to your account upon successful login, you will be redirected to your dashboard, where you can begin the lease creation process access rental units go to the leasing section click on rental units you’ll see two categories leased rental unit unleased rental unit click on the unleased rental unit add a new lease click on the add lease button the tenant details page will open next you will see the existing tenant and new tenant options select the new tenant option click on the new tenant option tenant detail page will open enter tenant details fill in the new tenant's personal information prefix (mr /ms /mrs ) first name and last name gender email address phone number fill in lease information complete the lease related fields lease start date lease end date tenure period (months) monthly rental charge discount amount if applicable discount period (months) security deposit amount late fine (per day) lock in period (months) minimum committed stay duration upload the lease agreement document at the end of this section add energy & other charges click 'next' to proceed to the energy & other charges page fill in the necessary utility or service charge details charge name e g , power backup, generator usage charge type fixed or rate based default value rate per unit review & submit click 'next' to proceed to the preview & submit page carefully review all the entered information general information property name, unit name tenant information first name, last name, phone number etc lease information duration, rent, discounts lease agreement review the lease agreement energy and other charges verify the energy charges lease created successfully verify everything, then click on submit button your lease has been created successfully an automated otp email is sent to the tenant, ensuring their identity verification and granting them secure access to their portal
